Mission District Timing Belt Replacement

One of the greatest dangers to high-mileage cars is also the least well-known: the timing belt. The timing belt is what controls the camshafts in your engine and keeps the entire operation running smoothly.

Unfortunately, a failure in your timing belt will cause the engine to stop completely. This is extremly dangerous, especially if you are driving on the freeway. This is why it is so important that you replace your timing belt at the right time. Bring your vehicle to B & W Service Center in San Francisco today.

As a rule of thumb:

  • Timing belts should be replaced every 4 years, or 60,000 miles.
  • Newer cars can have their timing belts replaced up to 100,000 miles.
  • However we recommend that you come into the shop before then; changing your belt earlier is a lot safer for your engine, and a little money sacrificed now can save you a lot of money in the long run.
