It is so great to go to a car mechanic that you can totally trust. You can rely on them to give you the best quality service and at the most affordable price. I have been going to B&W for over 10 years now; and I recommend them whenever I can. Heck, I even get my regular oil changes every 3 months -- and they don't try to upsell me like those other oil changing places. Quality, confidence, and nice, good people -- a perfect combination!

This place gives great service. They are very upfront with you on the costs, time, and what else you need. Not only do they say what you need, but also tell you how quickly they think you need a service, or don't need it. They will call you with an estimate while they have your car for any add'l services and see if you want to have them do that day. I recommend B&W!

I took my car for oil change only. I called and they told me if I brought it in at 11:30, they would work on it right away. I was late and brought it in at 12:00. They told me before leaving it that their guys were going to lunch and that it would be ready around 2 pm and wanted to know if I still wanted to leave it there or come back. I was glad they offered me option. I left it there and they called me when it was ready.

I went to a different mechanic to get an estimate on all the things that were wrong with my car, they quoted me over $600 for an oil leak in two different places among other things. Damn. I bought my car for $800. I took it to B&W since my mom swears by them. Dropped my baby off, and they said yeah we'll check it out, it's $30 for an estimate but if you get the work done there it goes towards the job. Pretty standard.I got a call pretty fast, they said they couldn't find the oil leak, so they wanted to wash the engine. I figured what is $98 on top of $600, not much for a cleaner engine which was extremely grimy due to some tussles with the oil cap, and multiple years of having an oil leak. Post-engine cleaning they found the leak right away, my oil pressure switch what?, and the total was going to be $214. INCLUDING THE CLEANING. Hell yes, she no longer drips oil while parked, AND she passed the smog test. They easily could have charged me boatloads of $ and I would have paid it to make my baby happy. But $200? I was and still am exceedingly happy, and she's still running strong. I will be back. Probably soon. And hopefully I will get the nice brother.Lastly, if you're San Francisco rich and want all the frills and to pay too much, don't go here. They do what they need to do and do it well and for cheap. They didn't clean my car, or buff my rims, but they fixed the problem. For cheap.
