My odometer was blinking, so I brought my Fiat in to be diagnosed. I also got a safety check to make sure the car didn’t need new brakes or hoses or anything. It hadn’t been seen by a mechanic in a while, so I was happy to get the check. They did the safety check and determined that the car was in good shape to drive, but they said I would have to bring it to the dealer if I wanted the odometer issue resolved. That it must be something in the software. That’s all fine, but I’m the 24 hours they had the car, they didn’t disconnect the battery to stop the odometer from blinking. They could have at least done that for me. They are nice and professional, but I probably won’t go back there, as they really did the bare minimum for me. I had to go somewhere else after that to have the battery disconnected for 5 minutes to turn off the blinking. Update: I went back because my odometer started blinking again a month or so later, and asked them to disconnect the battery and reconnect it to stop the blinking. They did it on the spot and free of charge. Maybe I should have been more specific about what I wanted the first time I came in. Regardless, I appreciated that they remembered me and helped me out the second time.
